The Flying Saucers Are Real

A retired Marine Corps major and aviation writer built the first influential public case that flying saucers were interplanetary craft, drawing on the Kenneth Arnold sighting, the Mantell crash, and the Chiles-Whitted encounter. Keyhoe argued the Air Force knew more than it admitted and was managing public disclosure to avoid panic.
