I saw a round object in a controlled fall from the sky, the object went behind some clouds and did not reappear in it's fall.

It swooped down from the sky, dropped an object, and sped back up into the clouds.

The craft was diamond in shape, It was huge about 1/2 an acre wide made only a slight humming sound.
