Giant Humanoids

Also known as: Colossi, Three-Meter Beings

First known report
Scattered South American cases in the 1950s; the defining event is Voronezh, USSR (September 27, 1989) — schoolchildren in a city park reported a 3 m three-eyed giant and a robot emerging from a landed sphere, a story carried worldwide by the TASS news agency.
Relative frequency
rare — concentrated in the late-Soviet 1989-90 flap and isolated cases

Physical description

Humanoids 2.5-4 m tall, often headless-looking or with tiny heads set into massive shoulders, sometimes three-eyed (Voronezh), moving slowly and accompanied by small robots. Distinct from Nordics by sheer scale and menace-neutral affect.

Skeptical reading

Voronezh rests on child witnesses interviewed after local saucer hysteria and a credulous TASS wire piece that Western agencies amplified; follow-up found no physical evidence surviving scrutiny. The giant humanoid also appears where glasnost-era Soviet media was discovering sensationalism — a reminder that press ecosystems, not just witnesses, shape entity waves.
